AS A DM
OK, this book is mainly aimed at players and, as it says in the intro, that’s for a very good reason: Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons already provides a wealth of inspiration for DMs and one of the aims of the producers was to balance that out with some lish-lush dragon-themed awesomeness that players could get their claws into as well. BUT, I’m a greedy glitzy demon so I couldn’t help being over the moon that there are oodles of unique magic items, awesome spells, monsters (THE ACTUAL cutest and most adorable monsters I’ve ever seen in the game!) and fun adventure hooks for DMs to play with as well!
AS A PLAYER
There is just so much for players to get out of this awesomely inspiring tome – with 13 carefully crafted and inspiring subclasses there’s really a dragon-themed something in here for everyone and the backgrounds, spells and other information add a genuine depth and richness to the options as well. Everything is fully fleshed and detailed enough to just ‘grab and go’ but at the same time there is flexibility and plenty of encouragement to use your own ideas as well (A Balance so beautiful I can see old Mordy himself nodding and stroking his beard in approval 😉 )
